Virtual Auditions for the 2025-2026 Season

We are so excited to offer an Early Spring Virtual Audition for the 2025-2026 season! Updates and reminders are posted to our Instagram page to keep everyone up to date.

How do I audition virtually?

Audition videos received by April 22, 2025, will be guaranteed a decision by April 31, 2025.

Audition videos received by May 1, 2025, will be guaranteed a decision by May 15, 2025.

If you do not receive a position on the Baylor Dance Company through the Early Spring Virtual Audition process, you will be allowed to audition through our traditional in-person audition process, which typically takes place during the second week of school in the fall semester.

Follow the link above to submit your virtual audition.

The audition application will include some short answer questions and a video upload that includes the following:  

1.  A short clip of you answering the following questions:

- Why do you want to be on the Baylor Dance Company?

- Why do you believe you would be a strong member of the Baylor Dance Company?

2.  Technique 
In the technique video please include the skills listed below. Each skill does not have to be filmed in the same clip, however, please merge all the skills to be uploaded in one video. 

  • Right Pirouette 

  • Left Pirouette 

  • Turns in Second (Right)

         i.  Two 8-Counts of turns

         ii. May also include other advanced skills in turn combos such as changing spots, attitude turns, pirouettes, double turns, etc.

          iii.   You may upload up to 2 different turn combinations

  • Right Leap

  • Left Leap

  • Right Center Leap

  • Calypso

  • Right Tilt Jump

  • Right Tilt Kick  

  • Optional Skills

               i. Switch Tilt Jump

               ii. Switch Arabesque Jump

               iii. Aerial (Right or Left)

               iv. Leg Turn (Right or Left)

            v. Leg Extension/Hold (Right or
Left)

               vi. Any additional acrobatic skills
you want to highlight

3. Jazz/Contemporary Combination

Please upload a video with a minimum of 45 seconds doing a jazz or contemporary combination. This video must have been recorded after August 2024, and you must be the only dancer in the video.

4. Hip Hop Combination

Please upload a video with a minimum of 45 seconds doing a hip hop combination. This video must have been recorded after August 2024, and you must be the only dancer in the video.

5.  Optional: You can add any additional videos that you believe demonstrate your dance ability.

You can choose between uploading a video or uploading a link to a video. Please include all portions of the Audition Video in one link or video upload. All portions of the Audition Video do not have to be completed in the same clip, but should be uploaded in the same video.
